// XS//SASS — DESIGN DIVISION //
THE TEAM
A small independent design collective operating at the intersection of institutional satire, procedural aesthetics, and experience design. We build diagnostic systems that feel real enough to be unsettling and absurd enough to be shareable. Nobody asked us to do this.
◈ SHOP COLLECTIONS
For people who already know the problem.
Marcus
Marcus Vael
Director of Behavioral Intelligence
Marcus has spent the better part of a decade making things that feel like they belong to a universe slightly adjacent to this one. Before XS//SASS he worked in brand identity for organizations he legally cannot name. He describes his design philosophy as "bureaucratic surrealism for people who have been in too many meetings." He is correct.
IDENTITYSYSTEMSDIRECTION
Sable
Sable Rue
Senior Classification Analyst
Sable has reviewed more than 14,000 behavioral classifications and remains responsible for anomaly tracking and pattern correlation efforts. She has strong opinions about procedural typography and the institutional aesthetics of Cold War-era government documents. Outside of work she enjoys long-distance cycling and maintains that several classification results have been incorrectly filed.
UXSYSTEMSTYPOGRAPHY
Daniel
Daniel Kress
Compliance Review Coordinator
Daniel is responsible for the seeded classification engine that ensures consistent results across return visits and unique results across users. He previously held a compliance role at a logistics firm whose records he describes as "incomplete but instructive." He finds the intersection of randomness and determinism philosophically satisfying. The rest of the team has stopped asking him to elaborate.
FRONTENDCANVAS APIALGORITHMS
Nora
Nora Wylde
Subject Matter Specialist
Nora authors the behavioral summaries and analyst commentary behind each classification result. She has a background in organizational psychology and a firm belief that most performance review language is simultaneously meaningless and deeply revealing. She is writing a book on the subject. She has been writing it for six years. She does not consider this relevant information.
COPYBEHAVIORALVOICE
Theo
Theo Callum
Director of Strategic Escalations
Theo manages product development, print coordination, and escalation response across all active lines. He previously worked in theatrical set design, which he believes is more relevant to this role than anyone has acknowledged. He handles all interdepartmental disputes with what he calls a "strategic escalation framework." Others call it sending a very long email at 11pm.
PRINTAPPARELPRODUCTION
Asha
Asha Orin
Internal Communications Manager
Asha manages internal communications, deployment coordination, and operational documentation across all active projects. She is the only member of the team who reads the analytics reports. She has distributed these reports weekly for eleven months. Response rates have been recorded and are available upon request. She considers this data instructive.
OPSANALYTICSINFRASTRUCTURE

XS//SASS was built because we kept receiving corporate performance reviews that felt both deeply absurd and completely accurate. The Social system exists because we kept watching people navigate social environments with the seriousness of diplomatic incidents. The products exist because the diagnostics needed a physical delivery mechanism.

We are an independent operation. Not affiliated with any government agency, behavioral research institution, or HR consulting firm. Several of those organizations have better aesthetics than we initially expected. We remain unaffiliated.
