Noir Camellia is a dress built around one idea, carried at full scale. The print is set into the garment, not parked on the front of it.
A pattern with somewhere to be. This one takes a single motif and lets it run — at full scale, unapologetic, sized for the good part of the evening. Cut from a 95% palyester, 5% spandex blend, and finished so the colour stays as loud on the tenth wear as it was on the first.
Noir Camellia is not a subtle piece and was never trying to be. It is the one thing in the drawer that decides the rest of the outfit.
Built to be worn hard. Colour holds through washing; the print is in the fabric, not sitting on top of it waiting to crack.
Noir Camellia starts as artwork and stays artwork — drawn at scale, then fitted to the garment rather than shrunk onto a panel.
Most of the work on Noir Camellia was deciding what to remove. The first version had three more colours and half the confidence.
