Black Meridian is a button-up shirt built around one idea, carried at full scale. The artwork is printed at the size it was composed, not shrunk to fit a panel.
Colour first. Explanations later, if at all. This one takes a single motif and lets it run: at full scale, unapologetic, sized for the good part of the evening. Cut from a 95% polyester, 5% spandex blend, and finished so the artwork reads at full volume.
Black Meridian is not a subtle piece and was never trying to be. It is the one thing in the drawer that decides the rest of the outfit.
Works against plain white, raw denim, black linen and very little else, which is exactly the intention.
Black Meridian begins as a visual concept developed at scale, then fitted to the garment rather than reduced to a conventional front graphic.
Against a ground the colour of midnight, pale gold filaments trace wandering routes that cross, knot and part again. Black Meridian reads like a chart of unnamed coastlines, kept for the pleasure of the line itself.
